Enhance Your Fitness

Does it always feel like your quads and lungs are going to explode the moment you start riding up hill? 

Are you stuck on a plateau with your fitness and wondering how you can structure your training to begin making progress?

 Enhancing your power to weight ratio and the intensity (power output) that you can sustain at threshold is crucial for improving your performance on hill climbs.

 The X2 detailed four week training blocks included in this coaching course have been specifically designed to do just this. 

Nothing more, nothing less, just the essential training rides required to rapidly enhance your power, strength and endurance so you can conquer any hill climb or route on the bike this summer! 

COMPONENT #2

 Optimise Your Fuelling 

Confused and wondering how to optimise your bodyweight and fuel to improve your performance on the bike? 

Have you ever hit a climb and felt like you have hollow legs and nothing in the tank? (also known as the infamous bonk!)

Dialing in your nutrition and fuelling will allow you to achieve your target bodyweight, whilst optimising your power to weight ratio.

Putting the right fuel in your body and the timing of when you do so is also crucial for maximising your performance, recovery and adaptations from training rides.

This coaching course lays it out in simple terms with the Calories, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Vitamins and Minerals you need to eat and when is best to eat them, so you start every ride with the knowledge and energy to tackle any hill climb or route and never feel the bonk again!

COMPONENT #3

Focus Your Mindset 

Ever feel like a hill climb has already defeated you before you even start riding up it? 

Does your composure get completely destroyed when you see fellow riders passing, riding into the distance or waiting for you at the top? 

Keeping your cool by knowing how to pace yourself, control your breathing and trust in your numbers is crucial when conquering any hill climb.  

This coaching course will give you the knowledge and the tools to adopt the bullet proof hill climber mindset.

 You will learn specific pacing strategies and how to effectively use your training zones, ensuring you keep your cool and never blow up on a climb again.

Dial In Your Technique 

Does it ever feel like you are fighting to complete every turn of the pedals when on a hill climb? 

 Well, the good news is that you can prevent this from ever happening again by improving your cycling posture and technique on the bike. 

Improving these components will allow you to transfer more force to the pedals via a smooth efficient pedal stroke,  also reducing the total energy expenditure required to complete a hill climb. 

This course will guide you through specific strength and stretching sessions, showing you how to enhance the quality of your movement function and all-round cycling posture.

You will also learn specific pedaling techniques which you can instantly implement to increase your power and speed for fast and efficient climbing performance!

​The drive and determination to follow a step by step plan and improve your hill climbing.

The ability to track watts or heart rate is beneficial but not essential.

All training rides can be performed either in or outdoors.

The course is fully Compatible with over 100 GPS, ANT+, and Bluetooth Smart Enabled Watches, Bike Computers, Smart Trainers and Mobile Applications (Garmin, Wahoo, SRM, Wattbike, Zwift, Strava...)
